Add Free Ringtones To The LG UX260
with memory card:
The LG UX260 is equipped with a MicroSD memory card slot. If your personal computer can also read that card format (Most notebooks are so-equipped), you should be able to transfer music files (The LG UX260 supports these formats: AAC+, WAV, MP3) from your computer to a MicroSD memory card, and then, from the memory expansion card to your cell phone. Your owner's manual should explain how to assign the musical file to your phone's main ringtone.
With a USB cable:
The LG UX260 features the "USB Mass Storage" norm. Get a USB cable (There might be one in your LG UX260 package) and, linking your LG UX260 to the computer should make it appear as a memory key. Open it and just drag files directly in your LG UX260, just as if it was a folder in your computer. For the remaining steps, please refer to your LG UX260 owner's manual. The ringtone chapter should explain how to assign a recently uploaded file as a ringtone.
Via Bluetooth:
The LG UX260 is Bluetooth-equipped. Bluetooth is a wireless protocol which lets you connect your cell phone to other Bluetooth-enabled devices. If your computer is also Bluetooth-enabled, simply connect both devices and transfer any music file from your computer to your LG UX260.
Just record sound directly:
Since your LG UX260 sports a sound recorder (also known as "voice memo"), a very straightforward technique involves just putting your phone near your computer's speakers, playing whatever music or sound you'd like as a ringtone, and recording it -- you can even use your voice, your child's voice or even your cat's "meow!" Record it with your phone and "voilà!" Unless that function was specifically blocked on the LG UX260, you should be able to navigate to the ringtones menu and assign that recording as a ringtone. Of course, the sound quality may not be perfect but, at least, it's your owned!
